What is Friends of KCC?

What we do

Friends of KCC works collectively to grow the values, ethics and practices emanating from the KCC school of therapy, consultation, management, and research.

Following its closure in 2010, many ex-alumni of KCC were keen to find a way to keep alive and further the ideas and practices connected with KCC.

From a meeting convened in London in July 2011, Friends of KCC eventually emerged, as a group of people who committed to working together collectively to run events and activities in keeping with KCC.

How we do it

Informed by systemic, constructionist, narrative, appreciative and communication approaches we bring together practitioners, academics, and researchers in collaborative learning events, including workshops, conferences, short courses, peer supervision, and mutual sharing circles.

The impact

Our intentions are to develop and promote creative, innovative, and ethical practice in all contexts.

Acknowledging interconnectedness, we aim to create spaces for all voices to be heard, honouring unique knowledges – supporting action from a stance of social justice from which we resist oppression and all forms of hate.
